Frequently Asked Questions

What services does Dependable Laser Works offer?

We provide laser cutting, metal sheet bending, MIG and TIG welding, and 3D printing and scanning services, all under one roof.

We work with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, and keep all three in inventory.

We work with steel and aluminum up to 3/4 inch and stainless steel up to 1/2 inch.

Yes. We offer both MIG and TIG welding, and can advise on which method suits your material and application.

Yes. Our 3D printing and scanning services are excellent for creating prototypes, handling reverse engineering, and validating designs before parts move into fabrication.

We fabricate parts for trucking, automotive, manufacturing, prototype development, HVAC and industrial, and sign making businesses, among others.

We work with businesses of different sizes, from single custom parts to larger production runs.

We can fabricate a single custom part as well as larger production runs. Whether it’s a one-off replacement piece or an ongoing quantity, share your project details and we’ll let you know what’s possible for your specific request.

You can call, email, or use our contact form to share your project details. Our team reviews your requirements and follows up with a personalized quote.

It helps to include material type, thickness or gauge, drawings or dimensions, quantity needed, and your project timeline.

Do I need a CAD file to get started?

CAD file or drawing helps us quote and fabricate accurately, but if you don’t have one, share your dimensions, a sketch, or a sample part and our team can help from there.

That’s fine. Many prototype projects start with a concept, sketch, or sample part rather than a finished CAD file. We can work with you through the design and feasibility stage before cutting begins.

Turnaround depends on the material, complexity, and quantity of your project, along with current shop volume. Simple parts can often be completed faster, while custom or multi-step jobs involving cutting, bending, and welding take more time. We’ll give you an estimated timeline once we review your project details.

Parts can be picked up directly from our Brampton shop. Delivery options can be arranged depending on your location and project size, so let us know your preference when requesting a quote.

We’re located at 240 Clarence Street, Unit 8, Brampton, Ontario. Clients can visit in person or reach out by phone or email.

Yes. While our shop is based in Brampton, we work with businesses across the Greater Toronto Area and throughout Ontario, and we can discuss shipping options for clients located further away.

Yes. Once a prototype design is validated, we can support scaling the same specifications into a larger production run.

Laser cutting produces clean, accurate edges and consistent results across a production run, which is especially useful for parts that need to match exactly from one unit to the next.

Tolerance and finish requirements can be discussed as part of your quote request, so we can confirm what’s achievable for your specific material and design before work begins.

Reach out by phone at 647-504-5956 or by email at laserworks@dependable.ca with your project details, and our team will follow up with next steps and a quote.
