Our Metal Fabrication Technology & Equipment

CNC fibre laser cutting and CNC press brake technology built for precision, repeatability, and fast turnaround at our Brampton, ON facility. Dependable Laser Works runs modern CNC equipment to produce accurate, consistent metal parts for clients across Ontario. Our cutting and forming machines work side by side in one shop, so your parts go from flat sheet to finished component without being sent out.

Technology That Drives Precision Fabrication

In metal fabrication, the equipment on the shop floor sets the limits for everything else. It decides how accurate a part can be, how clean the edges are, how closely the 500th piece matches the first, and how quickly an order ships.

At Dependable Laser Works, our technologies are set up as one continuous workflow. The fibre laser cuts the flat blank. The press brake forms it to the angles on your drawing. In-house welding and 3D design work take it the rest of the way. Because every step happens under one roof, there are fewer handoffs, fewer delays, and fewer chances for error.

Our Core Fabrication Technologies

CNC Fibre Laser Cutting

Our CNC fibre laser uses a focused, high-energy beam to cut steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet with tight accuracy and clean edges. Fibre technology cuts thin and medium-gauge metal faster than older CO2 systems and handles reflective materials like aluminum well. Parts come off the bed with minimal dross, which reduces secondary finishing and keeps projects on schedule.

Key Specs:

Laser Type: CNC fibre laser

02

Laser Power: 6 kW

03

Cutting Bed Size: 102mm × 181 mm

04

Maximum Thickness: Steel 22 gauge to ¾ in· Stainless Steel 22 gauge to ½ in· Aluminum 22 gauge to ¾ in

CNC Press Brake / Brake Press Bending

Our CNC press brake bends flat blanks into brackets, enclosures, channels, and formed panels with consistent angles on every part. A CNC back gauge and programmed bend sequences place each bend in the same position, run after run. Because blanks come straight from our laser, the flat pattern and the formed part stay matched to your drawing.

From Flat Sheet to Finished Part: One Connected Workflow

File Intake & Programming

Send us your DWG, DXF, STEP, or PDF drawing. We review it for manufacturability, then program the cut paths and bend sequences before any metal is touched.

Fibre Laser Cutting

The fibre laser cuts your flat blanks to exact dimensions, with holes, slots, and bend reliefs placed precisely where the formed part needs them.

Press Brake Forming

Blanks move directly to the CNC press brake, where each bend is formed to the programmed angle and sequence without leaving our Brampton shop.

Welding, Finishing & Inspection

Parts are welded and finished if the job requires it, checked against your drawing, and prepared for pickup or delivery across Ontario.

Accuracy and Repeatability You Can Rely On

Every cut and bend we make is CNC controlled, so accuracy comes from the program, not from guesswork at the machine. Once a job is set up, the same program runs part 1 and part 1,000, which keeps large orders consistent from start to finish.

Keeping cutting and forming in one facility matters too. Parts never travel between outside shops, so there is no tolerance stack-up from different machines, operators, or setups. What you approve on the first part is what you receive in the last.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Equipment

What is CNC fibre laser cutting?

CNC fibre laser cutting uses a computer-controlled, high-powered laser beam to cut sheet metal along a programmed path. It produces accurate parts with clean edges and very little material waste.

There is no difference. Both terms describe the same machine, which bends sheet metal by pressing it between a punch and a die. “Press brake” is the more common industry term.

Yes. Fibre lasers handle reflective metals like aluminum far better than older CO2 laser systems. This lets us cut aluminum parts cleanly and consistently.

What file formats do you accept for laser cutting and bending?

We accept DWG, DXF, STEP, and PDF files. If you only have a sketch or a sample part, contact us and we can discuss how to prepare your drawing.

Yes. Laser cutting, press brake forming, and welding all happen at our Brampton shop. Keeping every process in-house shortens lead times and keeps tolerances consistent.

Yes. Our CNC programs work the same way for a single prototype or a run of thousands. Once your part is approved, every repeat order matches the original.
